Family Friendly October Fun In Utah

October is here and that means lots of fall events to celebrate the season and prepare for the upcoming winter. In Utah there are plenty of festivals and events to keep your whole family entertained. Whether you’re looking for some home decorations to spice up your home decor for the new season or looking for some seasonal produce to cook up a treat in your stylish kitchen, you will hopefully find it in Utah this October. And there is plenty on offer to entertain the kids too.

Harvest Market and Halloween Bash

Taking place in Fairmont Park in Salt Lake City on Friday, October 25th, the Harvest Market and Halloween Bash is an ideal event for the whole family. It can be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the season with locally harvested produce while enjoying the various Halloween events and fall weather.

Halloween Carnival

The Halloween Carnival is taking place on October 24th at 5.30pm at the Central City Recreation Center in Salt Lake City. It is a free event that is designed for kids aged 12 and under, where there will be lots of Halloween fun and games, including a coloring contest and kids are encouraged to dress in their favorite Halloween costumes.

Halloween on Main Street 2019

Halloween on Main Street, Park City is happening on Halloween, on October 31st and will have lots of fun and events to keep everyone in your family entertained. Events start at 3pm and will include safe trick or treating for little ones. There will also be a dog parade where dogs and their owners can dress up in costume (matching or not) and join others on a Halloween procession before Park City’s famous Howl-o-Ween event.

The Haunted Half

The Haunted Half features a half marathon, a 5k and a half mile run (for the kids). Taking place at Sugar House Park, Salt Lake City on Saturday, October 19th, this spooktacular event can be a great way for your entire family to blow off steam and enjoy the Halloween festivities in a more active way. Make sure you choose a Halloween costume that’s easy to run in. After the races there will be lots of activities and events to keep you entertained, as well as food and drinks to replenish your energy.

And if you miss the race in the Salt Lake City (or you want a do-over) there is another chance to take part in Orem the following Saturday, October 26th.

2019 Halloweek Bash and Costume Contest

This year’s Halloweek Bash will be taking place at Thanksgiving Point, Lehi on October 28th and promises fun and festivities for everyone. There will be prizes for the best costumes as well as lots to keep families entertained. Events include a Light Up the Night Halloween Parade, a Candy Cannon, which will be firing out candy as well as cash and other treats, and there will be a pumpkin pie eating contest followed by some dazzling Halloween fireworks to end the evening.
