The temperature is rising and summer is in full swing in Utah. And with summer comes a whole range of fun events with something to keep everyone in your family happy. International Folk Festival, Sandy

This year sees the return of the annual International Folk Festival taking place in Sandy, Utah and it’s celebrating its 10th year this summer. The festival features music and dance from around the world and can be an entertaining event for both kids and adults. This fun-filled family evening will be held at the Sandy Amphitheater on August 24th and starts at 8pm. And the best part, it’s free entry.

Craft Lake City DIY Festival, Salt Lake City

If you’re looking to combine your summer family fun with some fabulous opportunities to buy home decorations for your new pad then the 11th annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival is the place to be. Taking place from August 9th through August 11th at the Utah State Fairpark in Salt Lake City, you will get the chance to take part in workshops and view and purchase arts and crafts from local artists and vendors. The perfect opportunity to add a touch of Utah style to your home decor. And it’s a great place to take the whole family, with dedicated kids’ areas, including Kid Row, with crafts made by kids. Plus, there will be food trucks to keep everyone happy.

Wasatch Wildflower Festival, Wasatch Mountains

The Wasatch Mountains come alive with color during the summer and now is the perfect time to see the beautiful wildflowers that blanket some of the areas. The Wasatch Wildflower Festival can be the ideal opportunity for you and your family to get out and enjoy the stunning scenery on your doorstep, as well as some fresh mountain air. The festival will take place in Big Cottonwood Canyon on July 13th and 14th and in Little Cottonwood Canyon on July 20th and 21st. There will be live music, crafts and events in the resort areas for you to enjoy after your stroll or hike through the mountains. You can join a guided walk to learn about the flowers or grab one of the route maps and go at your own pace.

The Gallivan Big Band Summer 2019 concert series can be a fantastic way to liven up your summer. With a range of big band performances at the Gallivan Center in Salt Lake City from now through September, there should be something to suit your whole family. It’s designed for all ages and begins with free ballroom dance lessons. The concerts are also free, so it can be a great way to keep the family entertained while you stick to a budget.
