Yep, that’s right, it’s that time of year again. When the days get shorter and the nights get colder. But with the holidays right around the corner, it’s time to wrap up warm and get out there to enjoy everything that Utah has to offer at this wonderful time of year. Whether you’re looking for some festive home decorations to add a touch of Christmas cheer to your already stylish home decor, or simply looking for an exciting family day out, Utah has it all this season.
North Pole Express Christmas Train
Running from November 20th through December 22nd, the North Pole Express Christmas Train will take you on a magical journey to the North Pole and back, where you and your family will meet the man himself, Santa Claus. Everyone will get to enjoy some delicious hot cocoa, tempting chocolate cookies and have fun singing along to well known Christmas songs. Elves will be on board to keep the whole family entertained as you travel through magnificent scenery on the Heber Valley Historic Railroad aboard an old fashioned train.
Novemberfest Arts and Crafts Fair
The Novemberfest Arts and Crafts Fair in Logan, Utah is the perfect place to stock up on those Christmas gifts and home decorations. This annual festival will take place over Thanksgiving weekend, from November 23rd through November 24th. There will be plenty of local artists and craftspeople offering unique products that could be right at home in your house this holiday season. Not only that, there will food stalls there too, so you can treat yourself or your family to something sweet or savory. Plus, Santa Claus will be there to greet your kids and kickstart the festive season.
Provo Vintage Market – Holiday Show
Over November 16th and November 17th the Provo Vintage Market will be the ideal place to find that unique gift you’ve been looking for. Vintage home decor is right on trend and there’s no better place to find interesting vintage home decorations than at a vintage market. And this market can also combine the trendy with the festive with their holiday theme, so it can be a great spot to pick up a few Christmas presents for your friends.
Salt Lake City Christmas Lights Display
It’s the most magical time of the year and that’s certainly true in Salt Lake City. At Temple Square, 35 acres of space is dressed up with lights and decorations dedicated to the Christmas season. There will also be nativity displays across the square. As well as the lights and decorations, there are performances and concerts everyday by various local groups, so the whole family will be kept entertained. It’s an event not to be missed this season.
Kanab Christmas Light Parade and Festival
This is one way to kick off your Christmas season. The Kanab Christmas Light Parade is one of Southern Utah’s finest Christmas festivals. Magical Christmas floats will dazzle the whole family with their lights and decorations. After the parade of lights there will be hot chocolate and donuts to enjoy, as well as a lantern launch that everyone can participate in.
